spring 2008

Here is my belly cast, of sienna. Decorated for her fall birthday. It hangs in our living room for all to admire. Aris did a wonderful job adorning it with leaves and special effects. It sure is pertty.

So I'm, online checking into easter egg hunts locally. I come across this one that is free for everyone in the 4 corners. OK, so they had pictures and there are 80,000 eggs and its FREE. How do we keep track of our kids at an egg hunt this size? "ok sienna here is your walkie talkie and neon shirt, foam finger and hand granade for emergencies. Just pull this cord and light up your flare when you are all done and we'll come find you." Sure. Yeah. That sounds fine.

Anyway, things like poopy diapers are still flooding the area. Though, bed time is great, mostly. Naps are almost non existant. I'm still trying to keep them in sight but these little ones have a mind of their own. They both fell asleep together on the bunk bed today and it was adorable. And when one awoke so did the other. Zach just adores his sister and she him. Its pretty cute to watch and Listen, too. Zachary is quite the talker. And he coo's up a storm. I love being a mommy to these two, mostly. Some days are harder than others but where would I rather be, no place else.

Happily married and going on 3.5 years now. Though together since Sept 02. That's a long time. Marriage is tricky. There can be lots of rules unless you decide otherwise. Our biggest rule is to have fun. laughing is good. Aris is funny. He can make me laugh like no other. He loved to tickle me before our kids who now get most of the tickle time. And that's good with me. I love to hear all the laughter that comes daily. With kids some folks say "know when to battle." Same goes fot marriage. Just let the little things blow over. Keep an open mind and heart. Love. Laugh. Live. The rest will come when its supposed to.

On the Coleman note: I found through some digging a place that will give me all the marrow bones that I can carry home, for free. Here is our buddy enjoying his first of many. A very happy camper!!

January 09, 2008

I'm starting to feel whole again. I was able to stand at the sink this morning to wash bottles and no big tummy to keep me from the spiket. I also was able to squat down to a lower cabinet in the kitchen- a true squat with minimal effort less the baby in arms- I call this the football hold. "I'm going down...and then back up again. Score!!"
Its snowing again today and its the great snowman making, ice on the roads, have to shovel your walkway everyday kind of snow. But honestly, we love it. Something about snow...when you watch it out your windows it makes you feel cold but when you get to hike your sled to the tallest hill and jet down it makes you feel all warm inside. I'm looking forward to getting out there in the white stuff later in the season with Sienna. She's a thrill seeker and I know she's going to love sledriding. I've been missing it. More to come on snow when Aris and Sienna build their first snowman together.
On a much needed Thank you agenda: We have finally found our place we can gladly and warmly call home. The friends who we share our time with are beloved in everyway. To all of you who helped make time for us during my pregnancy and now with your meal services, support phone calls and sincerest gifts and time spent we thank you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am blessed to have such a strong support system. Aris and I love you.
